Hiiiatus hiatus!

I'm on hiatus for a while, trying to get my webcomic and artz skillaz up to par.
I drew an appropriate picture of me biting my lip and apologizing for the hiatus, but it just looked like I had a really amazing soul-patch.
Instead, enjoy my fanart of Sue from The Awakening. It's a work in progress...!

A Question of Geekiness

I know, like, at least 5 people want to kill me now.

For the last two weeks+, I've been obsessing over World of Warcraft and it's humongozoid amount of players. Trying to catch up on the lingo&slang is kind of like cramming for a biology test; nerve-wracking and dizzying. Tank? PuG? Raid? Nelf? Add to the fact that my clumsy fingers can't seem to dance flawlessly over my MacBook's keyboard and I practically scream n00b.
And, while this could be my own point of view, but I keep feeling like I have to prove myself to other players, because I'm a new girl player. Girl geek/gamers are suddenly all the rage in the mainstream, and it's kind of difficult to shrug off the eclectic hipster attitude of girl gamers to reveal a true gamer instead. I often find that I need to put in more effort than a simple casual player might, simply because I want to prove myself in the gaming world.

Has any other gamer/geek/nerd had this problem?
Have you felt the need to prove to the other Klingons in your group that you're just as ferocious as them? Do you want to smack someone in the face when they make stupid comments about girl gamers? I'd like to hear them!

Anyone else feel like this?

When I was in elementary school, my teacher taught us a little bit about the vikings. It was super interesting, but at the same time, I was kind of perplexed. I went home, and my dad proceeded to tell me something about my family being of viking origin. For a while, I was convinced that my family was Scandinavian in some fashion.
Then, my dad proceeded to tell me about my Welsh family history, Mic'Mac history, French... etc.
And if anyone knows anything, family history is not something that's easy to research either. It completely sucks to have one of the most common names in modern history (there was another girl with the same first name, middle name, and last name as me in my school), and I can't find anything on my family.
Uurgh! Does anyone have this same problem?
Maybe I should start over again, and have a new name. :>

Baby buy-buy-buy!

Window licking, window shopping, simply just lust. Whatever. I've amassed an incredible amount of things I want to buy online from amazingly awesome stores. Let me take your through my wish list... Remember: gift-giving is not limited to holidays or birthdays.

If you're a fan of the seriously medically cute,
refrain from squealing too loud. Mary's Etsy store is full of ridiculously-hyperventilatingly cute little silver sloth necklaces and PIN-WHEEL RINGS. Tea cups, silver whisks (read WHISKS not WHIPS), toasters, stars with the sweetest little faces... But really... a PINWHEEL RING. *breathes into a brown bag*

Now... While I'm not a huge leg tattoo fan, I'
m totally head over HEELS (hah) for Gabby & Tal's tattoo socks. Especially the octopus socks, swirlies whirlies, and the deliciously self-centered interweb-friendly Twitter tights. Or, for those who want to channel Darkstalkers' Morrigan, check out this bat-tastic tights sure to please the baby-goth in all of us.

On the topic of hawt, steamy VG characters... After all this online shoppin' & succubus lustin', you'll have to wash up, you shtinky schweaty beast you! What better way than with Mountain Dew scented retro NES controller soap? Grandaddy NES controller crampin' your style? What about a realistic Xbox controller, or manly scented PS controller? Yeeee-ah!

Not only that, but think of who you're supporting with your lust. No, not the succubus! The Etsy artists&sellers! Come on! You know you want to!

Corny jokes for you all,

First goal accomplished!

My hair is violently pink (well, more like fuchsia!).
How do you like it? I've discovered a few good tips for anyone dying their hair a funky colour, and I'll post those soon!
